Keeping up with emergency preparedness

Dr. Banks and her staff have been busy refreshing their skills. Always a lifelong learner, Dr. Banks truly believes in the value of continuing to maintain skills through practice and repetition and also learning new material to enhance the culture of patient safety in her office.

Dr. Banks and her staff attended the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine’s “10 Minutes to Save a Life: Emergency Medicine in Dentistry” on September 27, 2019. This extremely thorough didactic review course was given by none other than Stanley Malamed, DDS who is well known in the dental world as the sedation  anesthesia and medical emergency guru. As if 7 hours wasn’t enough, Dr. Banks and her staff also recently attended 7 hours of continuing education.  “Medical Emergencies in the Dental Office and Local Anesthesia and Sedation in Dentistry” given by Dr. Morton Rosenberg at Hackensack Meridian Health  in Neptune, NJ. “ This was a great refresher course on emergency preparedness” and we truly appreciate the Jersey Shore University Medical Center supporting this important program.
