Background Information

Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Banks manages a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Dr. Banks practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery, wisdom tooth removal, soft tissue and bone injuries to the facial and jaw region, TMJ conditions and pathology.

She utilizes the latest techniques and materials available, and provides individualized anesthesia care for optimal patient comfort. Her staff is trained in assisting with intravenous sedation, inhalation anesthesia and general anesthesia in our state-of-the-art office setting. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery.

Staff

The surgical staff are experienced oral and maxillofacial surgical- anesthesia team members who assist in administration of IV sedation and surgery. All of our surgical staff are BLS and ACLS certified.

The administrative staff are well-versed in health and insurance policies, and are BLS and ACLS certified. Finally, I would like to say that THE BEST feature of my office is my very friendly, competent, and knowledgeable staff. A patient is welcomed upon arrival, and we try very hard to make each visit as comfortable as possible. We understand that the prospect of needing surgery often evokes unpleasant feelings of anxiety and trepidation, and we will make every effort to alleviate your fear and anxiety.

We have taken an environmentally friendly approach to our new office, with a special concern for cleanliness and following strict sterility protocols. We have made every effort to use latex- free products wherever possible.

We are using the powerful Win-OMS operating system for our practice management and electronic health records. In this day and age, it just made sense to me to “go paperless.”  

Even with the best scheduling possible, things can sometimes get hectic. Our new office is somewhat slower paced, with more time allotted to each patient’s care, and we are open every day Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
